ASHES honors the journey of our ancestors, their fight to be seen as human. From brokenness, beauty is born. Through movement and storytelling, we reconnect fragmented histories, standing in the space between slavery and freedom, breathing life into the cultures of our resistance.
Conceptualized in 2016 and premiered in February 2017, Ashes marks 10 years of remembrance, resilience, and living history. We celebrate a decade of honoring the past while moving boldly forward
